We are a UK based company located in Chingford, London on the border of Essex.

Once the payment for your project has been received, you will receive a email within 24 hours with an estimate of when your first review will be. Every project is different and our workload varies as we manage multiple projects at the same time.

The price you see is the price you pay. As long as you have selected the correct options for the type and functionality of the website you require, that is all you pay. Any additions or change in scope of work after the project has started will be discussed before they are actioned or charged.

We will confirm the details of your project via email and ask for your approval to proceed. From this point we immediately commit resource to beginning your project. Therefore we cannot refund any payments after your approval has been received.

Our price list covers the most common website options people require. If you need something that doesn’t fit one of our boxes, contact us to discuss what you are looking for – we love a new challenge!

The package prices shown on our website are for websites hosted on our servers, as we already have certain elements (SSL/plugins/themes/security/etc) pre-configured to speed up the whole process of creating a WordPress website.

We can still work with your hosting solution if you wish, but there will likely be some additional costs involved if some/all of the above elements need setting up or purchasing.

Yes we can use the domain name you already own. All we need to do is point it at our servers when we’re ready to make your website live.

WordPress gives us the freedom and flexibility to design websites in many different ways. A WordPress website means you are never tied to a hosting company. If you want to move your website, you can transfer it to almost any host you want.

WooCommerce is an E-commerce plugin for the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). WooCommerce is great way to add an online store to your existing WordPress website – it is highly customisable with tons of selling options to choose from.

Shopify is an E-commerce Content Management System (CMS) that we use to design and combine the words and images that form your online store. Shopify gives us the freedom and flexibility to design secure online stores in many different ways. A Shopify website is less complex to manage than a WordPress WooCommerce website – making it ideal for first time online sellers or businesses that want to keep things simple and easy to manage.

A domain is the address of your website – 299websites.co.uk is our domain.

The FREE domain name included with our web packages can be anything that you wish, so long as they are available to purchase and that their cost does not exceed £13 (our yearly renewal cost). Customers are responsible for the cost of their domain from the beginning of the 2nd year.

SSL is a security technology that encrypts and protects the data your website sends and receives. Websites that have SSL enabled often show a closed padlock in the browser address bar.

A one page website is a website where the viewer never leaves the homepage. A one page website can have a multiple sections that can be jumped to by selecting a title from the main menu navigation bar.
